This polygon shapefile
delineates general survey boundaries of private oyster ground leases in
Virginia. The shapefile was generated from a kmz file provided by the Virginia Marine Resources
Commission; the state agency responsible for regulating private oyster ground
leases in Virginia. While private lease boundaries are legally defined, this
coverage does not meet legal survey standards.
